Began work on outbuilding not knowing exactly what we would find but knew that it was very tired and worn. Other contractors told owner to tear it down. After completely removing decades of bad cover-ups we discovered that in fact the original structure was an historic post and beam barn dating back to the early 1800's. We totally restored the post and beam structure manufacturing many parts on site. We then renovated the interior with the past in mind using antique barn siding and wide plank pine flooring. We then discretely hid plasma TV's and Sub-Zero appliance behind antique barn panels to finish the interior. Respecting the old, saving the past, while updating for the future.
